To sell historic properties, one must have first-hand knowledge of the travails of owning older homes. Over the past 26 years, Andrea Dunlop and her husband, Max, have restored 4 historic homes in Los Angeles, including a 1906 Dutch Colonial Revival style house in Western Heights they lived in for 14 years. Andrea uses her extensive knowledge of the local Historic Preservation Overlay Zones and tax incentives for restoration, such as the Mills Act, to aid her clients in selecting and maintaining their historic and architectural homes. She and her family are now living in the Historic Windsor Square HPOZ, near Larchmont Blvd, restoring a beautiful 1936 French Normandy style home with the Mills Act.
Andrea also has high school aged daughter, and knows the ins and outs of the local public and private schools, including being a founding parent of a local charter school, City Language Immersion Charter (CLIC) in West Adams.
Andrea was drawn to the historic neighborhoods of Los Angeles for its rich history and its beautiful architecture, which reminds her of her native North Carolina. She enjoyed serving on her community's neighborhood council board (UNNC) for eight years and was a member of its economic development and tree committees. Andrea cares deeply for many causes including education, community beautification, historic preservation, and her true passion, animal welfare. Andrea sells real estate throughout Los Angeles, in areas such as Windsor Square, Leimert Park, Windsor Hills, View Park, Highland Park, Santa Monica, Mar Vista, Venice, Marina del Rey, Del Rey, Westchester, Koreatown, Brentwood, Jefferson Park, Hollywood Hills, Eagle Rock, Pasadena, Altadena, Montecito Heights, Culver City, Los Feliz, Silver Lake, Atwater Village, Echo Park, Angelino Heights, Mid-Wilshire, Hancock Park, Carthay Square, Miracle Mile, Downtown LA, Koreatown, Country Club Park, Wilshire Park, Larchmont Village, South LA, Mid-City, the Valley, and of course, West Adams, among others!
